Different game
Super Metroid Redux is not Metro Redux
Checked 24 October 2026
Super Metroid Redux is a project about Super Metroid, the 1994 Nintendo game. Metro Redux is the 2014 collection of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux by 4A Games. The shared word is Redux. The games are not related.
The Super Metroid project
ShadowOne333's repository calls Super Metroid Redux a personal hack of Super Metroid (U). Its documented foundations are Project Base v0.7.2 and Control Freak, with additional control, map/HUD and quality-of-life changes. Examples include faster doors/elevators and transitions, movement options and controller changes. It is an unofficial fan project, not a 4A Games title or an official Nintendo re-release.
If this is the project you searched for, read the author's Super-Metroid-Redux repository for its release and patch requirements. This site does not host a ROM, patch archive or emulator setup. Owning a cartridge is not presented here as a blanket permission to download a ROM from elsewhere.
If you meant the Moscow metro games
Metro Redux is the 2014 collection of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux by 4A Games. The word Redux is the only connection. The homepage explains what Metro Redux includes, where to buy the collection, and its technical update. Super Metroid Redux shares neither DLC, saves nor mod files with them.
