Metro 2039 is the next main game from 4A Games and Deep Silver, not a mode inside Metro Redux. Steam app 2590240 listed 4 February 2027 when this page was checked, and the page was still a pre-order. The story is set three years after Metro Exodus and follows a new lead, the Stranger.
Date and platforms
Steam's release field says 4 February 2027 for Windows. Deep Silver's pre-order news also names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This page does not promise a console frame rate or ray-tracing mode for 2039 without a linked technical specification. The Redux update explicitly does not have ray tracing. If the date moves, the Steam page wins over this sentence.

Edition contents are pre-order copy and can change. Buy from Steam or the publisher, not from a key listing this site does not audit. The play order that puts 2039 last is Metro games in order. Finish 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux first if you want the stations to mean something. Exodus sits between Last Light and 2039.
Questions
Is Metro 2039 the same as Metro Redux?
No. Redux is the 2014 pair of 2033 and Last Light. 2039 is a new game dated 4 February 2027.
Does the Redux next-gen update include 2039?
No. The update only changes the two Redux games. 2039 is a separate purchase.
