What Metro Redux includes
Steam lists the two games separately: Metro 2033 Redux (app 286690) and Metro: Last Light Redux (app 287390). Both name 4A Games as developer and Deep Silver as publisher. The store date on both pages, checked 24 October 2026, is 25 August 2014. Regional reports also use 26 and 29 August 2014, so this site says late August 2014 unless a page is quoting one store.
2033 Redux rebuilds the 2010 game on the Last Light engine and combat rules. Last Light Redux is the 2013 game rebuilt for 2014, and it already includes that game's DLC. Neither listing includes Metro Exodus. The play order is 2033 Redux, then Last Light Redux, then Exodus, then Metro 2039.
The 2026 next-gen update
Deep Silver's October 2026 update is a free technical upgrade, not a new remake. PC builds on Steam, Epic, and GOG landed on 22 October 2026. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions are dated 29 October 2026, while availability in Japan is still being finalised in the current PLAION FAQ. Patch notes list 4K textures, improved lighting, DLSS, FSR, 4A TSR, and spatial audio. Official FAQ says there is no ray tracing. Read the next-gen update before you reinstall.
Where to get it
Buy from Steam, GOG, Epic, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo. There is no browser build you can play on this page. US Steam list prices were $19.99 per game on 24 October 2026, with a temporary discount that will change, so this page does not print a sale price. The download guide links the stores and says which edition contains both games.
